Frugal Never Tasted So Good!
...and still got 88 points or higher from Wine Spectator!
Wednesday, April 8
Impressive, budget-conscious wines & food
The state of the economy is enough to drive a person to drink these days. The good news is that even as we exercise moderation in quantity and restraint in price, there is no need to scrimp on quality. On April 8, the Seattle Wine Society will host a smorgasbord of food and wine to demonstrate how you can entertain with style and taste, yet remain respectful of fluctuating financial fortunes.
During Seattle Wine Society’s April program, Frugal Never Tasted So Good!, we will help you discover great wine values and ideas for planning low cost parties. You will meet representatives from four regional wine shops who will be pouring delicious wines that retail for $18 per bottle or less. Many of these wines scored 88 points or higher by Wine Spectator.
Two Tarts Café and Catering will provide buffet-friendly foods to complement these wines, using ingredients you can find at Trader Joe’s, Costco, or your local grocer. You will learn preparation and presentation techniques, and come away with plans and prices for creating your own small dinner parties that are easy on the debit card. Members $20, Guests $25
