Annual Holiday Party
Wednesday, December 10, 2003
There is nothing more fun than starting a party
with a glass of bubbly. Our two featured sparking wines will be
Domaine Chandon from California and Bèrlene from a village
in southwest France.
Excellent Northwest wines
will be grouped for sampling throughout the evening. Select from
Merlots, Cabernet Sauvignons, assorted reds and blended wines, Gewürztraminers,
Chardonnays, and other whites such as Pinot Blanc and Chenin Blanc.
And then two Port wines and an array of dessert
wines.
Your Personal Chef Peter Marschalk has selected
a menu of Mediterranean style foods to mix and match with the wines.

Joy of a Personal Chef
Longtime Enological Society volunteer Peter Marshalk, a member of
the American Personal Chef Association, runs his own Gourmet
at Home business. He loves cooking and says preparing meals
for family and friends brings him great joy.
As our personal chef for the Holiday Party, Peter
has selected four food courses with a Mediterranean flavor to complement
the variety of wines. So sample at will and
come up with your own favorite matches.
